There are two kinds of sight: physical and spiritual. The Lord has opened the door for us to help the physical sight of the needy in Honduras and then share how Christ can open the eyes of their heart. The glasses are a good gift, but then we offer them the greatest gift of all, eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also a privilege to bless believers and pastors with glasses.

How We Work

We have received training from a Christian optometrist whose mission is to reach the lost in 3rd world countries through eyeglass ministry. The national pastors send out the news to the community that we will be at their church doing an eye clinic. After those who don't know Christ are served in the clinic, they are presented with a Bible and invited to hear the Good News. The pastors will then see that the new believers are discipled.

How We Get the Glasses

Glasses come to us through donations, both readers and used prescription glasses. Note: We cannot use astigmatism prescription glasses. If the readers are used instead of new, we ask that they be labeled as to power if at all possible. The main need is for reading glasses, even for those who cannot read, because they often need to do close work such as sewing, etc.

How You Can Help

If you wish to contribute eyeglasses, you can either send them to us or you can contact us for more information about getting them to us. Readers can be purchased at most Dollar stores. The greatest need is usually for readers in the 1.75 to 2.50 range.
